Linvilla Orchards is looking for outgoing, friendly, and customer service driven individuals to staff our seasonal attractions including mazes, apple blasters, fire supervisors, and hayrides. Many people enjoy coming to the farm in the Fall and we rely on our event staff to direct customers and help make their experience here memorable. We are looking for individuals who can work in a fast-paced environment and who have good communication skills.


General Duties for all Positions:

  • Maintain order and safety during events. Help manage the flow of guests entering the event area, ensuring a smooth and organized process.
  • Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, answering questions, providing directions, and addressing any concerns or issues they may have.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with other event staff, security personnel, and supervisors to ensure a coordinated and safe environment.

Ticket Scanner:

  • Accurately and efficiently scan event tickets using electronic ticket scanning devices or manual methods. Ensure that each guest gains entry with a valid ticket.
  • Operate ticket scanning equipment to process tickets efficiently.
  • Assist in managing crowd flow and ensure that only authorized individuals are allowed to enter.

Hayride Dispatch:

  • Accurately and efficiently scan event tickets using electronic ticket scanning devices or manual methods. Ensure that each guest gains entry with a valid ticket.
  • Assist with the timing of hayrides to ensure a smooth flow of operations, keeping an eye on safety and efficiency.
  • Greet guests warmly, provide instructions for boarding, and address any questions or concerns in a friendly and informative manner.
  • Maintain a vigilant focus on safety; ensure all riders are seated securely and follow safety guidelines during the hayride.
  • Coordinate with the dispatch team, provide information on passenger counts and groups.
  • Direct customers in line to the correct wagon; assist in loading and unloading of wagons.

Fire Supervisor:

  • Assist with building the campfires and maintaining them throughout the night.
  • Ensure safety of all guests around the campfire area; assist with customer questions and address any concerns in a friendly and informative manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the fire area. Restock supplies when needed.
Requirements:
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
  • Reliability, high personal integrity, and a people focused values orientation.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Provide prompt and courteous customer service.
  • Must be available to work in the fall of 2024.

Education and Experience:

  • Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred.
  • A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
