The Opportunity

The Account Manager 3 will act as the primary liaison for key customers, with a focus on addressing customer needs, driving sales growth, and providing technical solutions that align with JSR's business objectives. This role requires strategic account management, fostering strong customer relationships, and a deep understanding of the specialized technical demands within the semiconductor industry.

Your Role & Responsibilities

Customer Relationship Management
  • Sell products to customers designated by management. Handle Tier 2 accounts and serve as the primary conduit through which all customer communication takes place.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with customer, serving as a trusted advisor to address their needs and challenges.
  • Communicate regularly with customer to assess satisfaction, anticipate future requirements, and identify potential areas for additional support or product solutions.
  • Oversee customer accounts and ensure clear communication of customer needs and concerns across the organization. Provide updates through call reports, regular status summaries, customer feedback, product usage forecasts, and other documentation as required by management.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with both new and existing accounts for core photoresist products, negotiating pricing and sales terms to meet customer needs and drive business growth.
Sales and Revenue Growth
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts to drive revenue growth.
  • Lead negotiations for contracts and pricing, ensuring profitable terms while meeting customer expectations.
  • Achieve the sales goal for the territory, as established by Management. Meet metrics assigned for accounts, including revenue, POR wins, and overall customer satisfaction.
Technical Solutions and Support
  • Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to understand the technical requirements of customer and provide tailored solutions.
  • Support customers in the design and development process, assisting with technical challenges and connecting them with internal resources.
Market and Product Knowledge
  • Stay up to date on semiconductor industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to proactively suggest innovative solutions.
  • Develop expertise on the JSR's product line, including semiconductor materials, to effectively address customers inquiries.
  • Keep a close watch on market trends to identify potential opportunities or emerging competitive challenges that could impact current business.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with internal teams, including materials, engineering, and sales support, to align strategies and improve customer experiences.
  • Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure on-time delivery of products and resolve any issues related to orders.
  • Support Accounting in collection of delinquent customer payments.
Skills & Experience Requirements
  • A minimum of 6 years of direct sales experience in the U.S. microelectronics industry; prefer experience within a semiconductor fab or with a semiconductor materials/equipment supplier.
  • Strong technical understanding of semiconductor products, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • M.B.A. or MS is a plus or equivalent work experience.

Typical Work Hours/Schedule/Location/Travel time
  • Monday to Friday - 8AM to 5PM
  • Remote: Preferable to be located in East Coast
  • Flexibility to travel to customer sites and industry events as needed (approximately 20-30%)
