**Description:**+ Manage service department staff+ Manage billable hours, invoicing and technician pay on a weekly basis.+ Develop a schedule to utilize two to three service trucks on the road, servicing customer fleet needs. This will be developed in conjunction with the service staff by building customer rapport while improving billable hours and the perception of Scott’s as a business.+ Work with Parts manager to ensure service trucks are set up properly for on-call work and ensure on-call technicians maintain satisfactory vehicle condition by checking service vehicles stock daily.+ Update, manage and improve shop tool storage, as well as control of distribution, use and return to assigned location.+ Ensure the shop is kept clean, orderly, and free of obstacles. Assign locations for equipment to be stored and safe when not in use (Technicians are paid to clean on job work order).+ Work to fix and repair trucks and semis+ Talk with customers to handle any issues and answer customer needs**Additional Skills & Qualifications:**+ Must have 5+ years as a shop manager or supervisor. Open to taking someone who is in a Lead role and looking for the next step up+ Must know how to repair, perform maintenance and service on semis/box trucks; general bumper to bumper work+ Must have organization skills. Will need to be able to follow up on multiple and handle multiple projects at a time and complete tasks+ Must have experience disciplining employees.
