Responsibilities : Assemble discrete conveyor equipment by following DWF and assembly procedures. Responsible for final system assembly and testing of systems. Knowledgeable with hand/power tools, as well as, shears, brakes, saws, milling machines and other fabrication equipment. Apply established standards, processes, and procedures to ensure workplace safety and quality. Inform supervisors of any part or equipment defects to ensure prompt response to the problem. Capable of reading pneumatic schematics and running airlines. Conserve resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste. Follow the attendance policy of the Department. Maintain a clean and orderly work area, and perform housekeeping duties as required. Able to work overtime, flexible schedules, holidays, and weekends as required. Position Requirements : A high school diploma or GED equivalent. At least one (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment. Basic understanding of electrical procedures and strong mechanical aptitude. Knowledgeable with use of hand/power tools. Must have basic math and communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills and desire to learn. Must have strong attention to detail. Must be a self-managed, team player comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Ability to commit to dynamic schedules and be punctual to work. Able to safely work for extended periods of time, mostly standing, beyond an 8-hour workday. Ability to lift materials in excess of up to 48 pounds. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working in a Lean environment. At least one (1) year of mechanical assembly experience.
