Intake Coordinator Job Description:

As an Intake Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient communication and coordination during the referral intake process. Your ability to handle calls with professionalism, gather important information, and prioritize tasks will contribute to the overall effectiveness as a key player on our team. Responsibilities:
Welcoming, registering and admitting clients to services
Speaking with and collecting information from clients and referral services.
Facilitation, tracking and organizing incoming referrals
Assign and monitor the completion of all client assessments within a timely manner
Monitor and verify Medicaid eligibility status and other health insurance information
Maintain all correspondance and documentation of the refferal and client approval process
Solid understanding of health insurance as well as various Mental Health Services and terminology
Other duties assigned by the Program Administrator/Director/CEO

Requirements: 
Intake Coordinator Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree; preferably in Human Services or related field
    - OR 2 years experience working in the mental health industry, utilizing the skills, abilities and knowledge associated with such positions as Intake Coordinator, Office Manager, or Administrative Assistant.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Works well both independently and in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Attention to detail
  • Can stay on top of and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner
  • Familiarity with and strong understanding of Google Suite, Gmail, Google Sheets or Excel and other forms of technology
  • Resourceful, empathic, compassionate
