The Account Representative is responsible for a specific basin/region, driving market-based product sales in Pennsylvania and Colorado. They proactively attract and source new clients, close sales to achieve financial goals, and provide expertise on product applications, pricing, and customer engagement. This role demands a self-starter who rapidly builds a substantial new business pipeline and effectively manages deals throughout the sales process.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
- Drive aggressive sales through prospecting, qualification, and closing of profitable leads, exceeding area sales goals
- Execute action plans to expand the customer base, including targeted or key accounts, and increase market share
- Articulate and promote the BICO Drilling Tools brand, shifting conversations from price to value, showcasing our impact on customer risk, well drilling costs, and performance
- Support the sales process with planning, measurement, monitoring, and adjustments to meet financial goals
- Follow pricing policies, providing timely, accurate, and profitable pricing in accordance with the structure
- Manage and grow customer relationships, identify opportunities, and ensure high customer satisfaction and retention with strategic accounts
- Develop comprehensive prospect knowledge, including equipment needs, budgeting, decision-making, products, competition, and market characteristics
- Perform technical presentations to customers' engineers and representatives
- Participate in trade, networking, and technical events, implementing company marketing plans as needed
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Minimum 3 - 5 years as an outside sales professional within the oil and gas service industry required
- Ability to approach problems/customer complaints by providing appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits, and to follow up to ensure resolution
- Ability to work well with all levels of management and staff
- A motor vehicle record with no more than two moving violations or at-fault accidents within the last three years.
- Flexibility to work evenings and on weekends as needed, ensuring customer requirements/expectations are met on time, every time
- Operate basic office equipment, such as a keyboard, mouse, and copier/printer/scanner
- Sit and/or stand for long periods of time, up to 8-10 hours a day
- Walk/travel to production areas while wearing appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), at minimum includes safety glasses, steel-toe footwear and a hardhat
- Ability to lift 10lbs regularly and with assistance, up to 25lbs on occasion
- Operate a motor vehicle per company Vehicle Use Requirements
- Ability to travel, 50% or more, domestically
