Stroke Program Coordinator Overview:

Program management for the vStroke program


Coordination of the vStroke program with operational, physician and quality team members for maintenance and growth of the program


Collaborate with community stroke experts and abstraction team to optimize performance in stroke related metrics and participation in state and regulatory stroke programs


Review cases for identification of opportunities for improvement


Participation in Stroke Coordinator Collaborative


Process Improvement work-ministry wide and community specific


Start and facilitate virtual stroke support group]


Participation in local level stroke committees


Facilitate training of new vStroke nurses and competency assessment of existing vStroke nurses


SAFE review


Assess and address technology barriers


Enhance nursing documentation


Organize and participate in stroke education for nurses, providers, and community



Qualifications:

Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
Experience: Neurology Experience, Minimum 2 years acute care experience.
Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
Certification/Registration: BLS
