RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Craft and present messaging, creative or media outreach strategies and tactics to a diverse set of clients in tech, financial services, media, health/wellness, etc.
  • Become an expert in key issues, policies and trends affecting clients’ businesses
  • Develop strong working relationships and serve as primary day-to-day contact with clients
  • Be viewed by the client as responsive, helpful and critical to the account
  • Identify, research, author and manage new business opportunities, presentations and proposals
  • Be a respected leader with peers and mentor to more junior staff members

ATTRIBUTES

  • A BA/BS degree with 5-8 years of relevant experience, preferably in-house for a large company or corporation; at a communications agency; or in politics, either on the Hill, in an agency or on a campaign
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a primary account lead, effectively managing both internal teams and clients on small and medium accounts
  • Strong project management skills on large accounts including developing workplans, managing timelines, staffing and budgets
  • Excellent writing, editing, presentation and research skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work and synthesize complex issues into insights and trends under tight timelines
  • Experience with polling or market research including surveys and focus groups a plus
