Location: Channelview, TX
We are actively assisting a client in Channelview, TX, in their search for a skilled Manufacturing Electrical Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment across our grating plants. Initial training will take place during the AM shift, but flexibility to work any shift is required based on business needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Dismantle, inspect, repair, adjust, and replace faulty parts or wiring as needed.
  • Use a variety of electrical testing instruments and tools, including power hand drills, grinders, drill presses, bearing or gear pullers, soldering equipment, and pipe tools.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment.
  • Analyze tasks, plan procedures, and carry out repairs to minimize production interruptions.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with AC/DC motors, generators, transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
  • Reassemble and test equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety.
  • Install conduit, fittings, switches, controls, and fixtures.
  • Interpret and generate circuit diagrams and technical specifications.
  • Perform mechanical repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including components such as bearings, springs, clutches, and brakes.
  • Apply electrical principles and equipment knowledge to ensure proper performance and operation.
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of relevant industrial experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree from a community or technical college is preferred.
  • Coursework in mathematics, geometry, blueprint reading, mechanical drawing, metalworking, and drafting.
  • In-depth knowledge of hydraulic and fluid systems, advanced electrical circuitry, and proficiency in PLC control systems.
