Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Electrical Technician to join our team in Channelview, TX. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in repairing and maintaining mechanical and electrical apparatus, devices, and circuits across our grating plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dismantle, inspect, repair, adjust, and replace faulty parts or wiring as necessary.
  • Utilize various electrical testing instruments, power hand drills, grinders, drill press, bearing or gear pullers, soldering equipment, and pipe tools.
  • Operate material handling equipment effectively.
  • Analyze jobs, plan procedures, and ensure efficient and safe repairs with minimal interruption to production.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with AC and DC motors, generators, transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
  • Reassemble, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe and proper operation.
  • Install conduit, fittings, switches, controls, and fixtures.
  • Interpret and create circuit diagrams and specifications.
  • Perform mechanical repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, including bearings, springs, clutches, and brakes.
  • Apply knowledge of electrical principles and equipment applications in performing tasks.
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of related industrial experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a 2-year associate degree program at a community or technical college preferred.
  • Vocational school courses in mathematics, geometry, blueprint reading, mechanical drawing, metalworking, and drafting.
  • Thorough understanding of hydraulic and fluid systems, advanced electrical circuitry, and proficiency in PLC control systems.
