What you will do

This role will support the Commercial enablement team within our Building Solutions and Technologies business at Johnson Controls.

Under general direction, works as a member of the Commercial Team to: establish and implement programs, support local and regional business leaders in the recruitment and development of college graduates across North America in a new hire sales program called BEST, process development and optimization, data analysis to support business decisions, accountability and support the sales of each domain: Fire, HVAC and Security. The main objective is to drive innovation, sales efficiency and effectiveness in North America, through effective program management.

How you will do it

Program Management: Define best practice program management tracking and execution processes within the Commercial group cadences for tracking, reporting and accountability within the team. Work with other members of North America sales and leadership to implement programs to support sales growth and development. Work with business tools to communicate, implement, support, and track programs assigned.

BEST Program Management: Work with sales leaders across North America to recruit and fill program with college graduates in the Winter and Spring semester to support our long term sales growth. Work with those leaders to support and develop these new hires during the program to provide sales growth in there respective markets.

Process Improvement: Under guidance of leadership, define and execute programs which will facilitate awareness and alignment to accelerate profitable pipeline and volume growth. Develop sales process and tracking tools to ensure sales cadence, process disciple, data analysis and accountability.

Content Creation: Capable of creating, writing and editing, training materials, sales enablement, job descriptions, SharePoint content and other content as necessary. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and creation and editing in those tools.

Reporting: Provide reporting/dashboards and analysis to support operations, strategy and other planning/reporting activities as required by leadership.

What we look for

Required

  • Bachelors’ degree in business, finance, marketing or technical

  • 10+ years of program management experience in the technical or similar industry

  • Demonstrated proficiency in program management and analytical skills, working in a highly matrixed organization

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and web-based communications, heavy emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Self-Starter and ability to work independently with minimal information on several projects at once with minimal direction

  • Ability to work across several stakeholder groups to accomplish Commercial program goals

  • Recognize and respond to expectations in a timely manner and with a sense of urgency required

  • Capable of multi-tasking on several program priorities at once

Preferred

  • Program Management experience with finance, marketing, writing/editing, reporting and data management.

  • Salesforce CRM

  • Experience with Powerpoint and Excel a must.

  • Experience with web based financial based interfaces.
