Facilities and Data Center Manager

We are seeking a Facilities/Data Center Manager to provide expertise in managing and optimizing the physical infrastructure and operations of a federal client's critical data centers and facilities. As a key leader on our team, the Facilities & Data Center Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and security of mission-critical data center and facility operations.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor and log personnel entering the datacenter and ensure they have proper access and/or proper escort prior to entering the Data Center
• Conduct physical audits of equipment in the data center.
• Confirm status of servers, network devices, environmental hardware, or any other piece of hardware when requested by O&M, Facilities, Security, or management. (This interaction may include but is not limited to unplugging/plugging in a network/power cable, acknowledging or clearing alerts on environmental devices.)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement efficient and reliable data center and facility management processes and procedures.
• Oversee the deployment and maintenance of IT equipment, including Dell Intel-based, HP Intel-based, IBM Intel-based, and others.
• Implement and enforce strict access controls and physical security measures to safeguard data center and facility assets.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs) related to data center and facility services.
• Monitor and analyze data center and facility performance metrics, identifying areas for optimization and improvement. • Creating the inventory rack drawings for both the CSOC and AJ location to provide to the engineers. • Work hand in hand with the logistics staff to update inventory and drawings. • Active Secret clearance is required.
• Due to agency and contract requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens with no dual citizenship.
• Telework: Candidates must reside within a commutable distance and be available to work onsite at the customer’s discretion. This includes being on-site during the transition period. Must be based around Annapolis Junction, MD.
• This position requires a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 12+ years of experience as a Facilities & Data Center Manager or related field.
• Experience in any or all of the following:
o HP, IBM, Dell, MS, Windows, Avaya

Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
