Position Summary:

Strong interaction skills with medical center staff, physicians, and patients. Knowledge of laboratory disciplines and tests, specimen processing, charting computer experience, filing. Performs venipunctures and other duties as assigned. Provides service to patients across the lifespan including newborns, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric age groups.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Minimum Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
* For positions with phlebotomy duties, completion of a formal Phlebotomy course or clinical experience in phlebotomy required. Completion of a Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant program helpful. Medical Terminology course or equivalent preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
* Minimum Experience: Clinical laboratory experience preferred. Computer skills a must/medical background helpful.
* Certification: Possess a current National Phlebotomy Certification from A.S.P.T, A.S.C.P, N.H.A or equivalent preferred.
