The City of Virginia Beach Department of Human Services is seeking to hire a Clinical Team Leader with supervision experience and experience working with adults with mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders in community-based settings for the Supportive Residential Services program.
Responsibilities:
* Perform complex assessments, treatment planning, clinical interventions, consultation, and authorization of treatment duties in a behavioral health residential sites, community, and substance abuse setting.
* Conduct thorough face-to-face psycho-social assessment for individuals receiving mental health rehabilitation services to include Mental Health Skill building Services as part of the enrollment, initial authorization, and the re-authorization process.
* Provide high level clinical services to adults with mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.
* Facilitate house meetings to address and resolve roommate conflict through clinical mediation and goal-directed counseling between residents and treatment team providers residing in sponsored supportive residential options.
* Perform related work as required within the Supportive Residential Services (SRS program).
* Perform quality assurance functions and reviews/authorizes the medical necessity of services for individuals receiving Mental Health Skill Building Services.
* Provides training to MHSS staff to enhance and maintain clinical and skill building competencies.
* Provide clinical guidance and training for the staff in Mental Health Skill building Services on an on-going basis for all clients involved in active services per Medicaid regulations.
* Support staff in community settings with clinical assessments to persons experiencing acute behavioral health issues and crisis to evaluate and assess need for higher level of care and/or develop safety plans as needed.
* Ensure timely submission of Authorizations for MHSS service through Managed Care Organizations.
* Complies with all state and federal Medicaid and Licensure regulations for Mental Health Skill building services, Mental Health Case Management and Psycho-social Rehabilitation Services.
* Performs clinical administrative functions, including reviews of client electronic health records and/or paper records to support quality control/quality assurance system to improve program's clinical services.
* Provides assistance with individual and group therapy for other Behavioral Health programs.
