* $1,000 will be awarded in the first paycheck.
* $1,250 will be awarded upon completion of the six (6) month interim performance evaluation with an overall rating of "Meets Expectations".
* $1,750 will be awarded upon completion of the employee's one (1) year probationary period and a performance evaluation with an overall rating of "Meets Expectations".

The City of Virginia Beach Department of Human Services is seeking to hire a qualified candidate who has experience providing direct services to adults with serious mental health and/or substance use issues to include completing assessments, referrals, & treatment plans and has supervisory experience in a Behavioral Health setting for the BH Case Management Team Leader position.

Responsibilities:

* Serve as a senior Clinician and Team Leader with the B.H. Case Management unit, and assists other programs as needed.
* Perform complex assessments, treatment planning, clinical interventions, consultation, and authorization of treatment.
* Provide high level clinical services to adults with mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.
* Facilitate a multi-disciplinary staff treatment team,
* Perform quality assurance functions and reviews/authorizes the medical necessity of services for clients in the MHSS and other collateral programs.
* Provide direct supervision to Behavioral Health Case Managers and consults with Case Management Supervisor.
* Provide guidance and leadership to team members who provide case management services for consumers in the community, consumers in jail, and consumers recently released from the hospital.
* Assist with ensuring compliance with all DBHDS Licensure, Medicaid and CARF requirements.
* Assist with the implementation, monitoring and follow up on case management service standards.
* Attend client staffing meetings related to crisis situations as necessary.
* Provide clinical documentation and assures that all filing of clinical information and submission of billing information are done accurately and within the time frame required.
* May serve specialized populations and/or serve in specialized roles.
