The F. David Fowler Career Center's mission is to support GW School of Business (GWSB) students and alumni in developing lifelong careermanagement skills and building partnerships among students, alumni, employers and faculty, resulting in rewarding and fulfilling careers.
Position Specific Summary
Front Desk Staff are GWSB Undergraduate/Graduate Students who provide front desk service to the entire Fowler Center. Their primary role is to cover the front desk, while receiving incoming inquiries from students, staff and faculty. Front Desk Staff also answer the main phone line, and monitor the department's email account. They work closely with the Administrative Manager in coordinating any special projects. Other job responsibilities may include:
- Data collection and analysis
- Programmatic support
Standard Position Description
The student will be the first point of contact for visitors and customer service inquiries to the department. Tasks may include: greeting visitors, responding to in person, phone, email inquiries, provide customer service to other students, faculty, and staff; direct inquiries to the appropriate resources as needed; and assist with other office tasks. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific office needs.
