Facilities Maintenance Electrician

Position Summary

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

This position requires proficient Electrical skills, toolmaking experience preferred.

Standard Duties:

* Work safely in a maintenance department within an industrial manufacturing environment.
* Utilize advanced electrical skills including -
* Reading electrical power and control schematics
* Terminating wire per electrical schematics
* Calculating conduit size and fill
* Installing conduit and pulling wire
* Installing lighting and ballasts
* Troubleshooting motors and motor control circuits
* Using standard electrical meters, megohmmeters, and specialty test equipment
* Racking breakers in and out of 480V switchgear
* Stabbing bus plugs and MCC buckets
* PM's of electrical power equipment such as switchgear, MCC's, bus ducts, and panels
* Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, and Lock Out Tag Out
* Performing energized electrical work when necessary
* Operate boom lift and scissor lift
* Electrical systems range from 24VDC to 480VAC 3-phase
* Knowledge of medium voltage systems (over 480) is a plus.

This position will require the ability to manage small to medium electrical jobs including specifying and purchasing materials, adhering to budgets and schedules, and estimating costs and labor requirements.

* Utilize basic mechanical skills.
* Use a variety of hand and power tools
* Ability to work overtime as assigned.
* Additional duties may be assigned

Safety, Health and Physical Requirements:

* Standing for long periods of time.
* Lifting and/or moving items over 75 pounds. Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs. repetitively.
* Walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
* Working indoors or outdoors all year.
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
* All employees are responsible for knowing, understanding and complying with the safety policies and procedures.

Education & Experience

Education:
