Job Overview:

The role of the Facilities Maintenance Technician is essential for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of County buildings and properties. This position will also provide assistance to park personnel at various recreational sites. Responsibilities include performing cleaning tasks, routine maintenance, and reporting any repair needs to management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct general cleaning and maintenance of designated County facilities.
  2. Execute a variety of custodial tasks, including sanitizing restrooms, disposing of waste, and washing windows.
  3. Maintain outdoor areas through landscaping activities such as mowing, trimming, weeding, and applying mulch.
  4. Replace light bulbs, paint surfaces, and ensure door hinges are well-lubricated.
  5. Complete custodial and maintenance tasks as specified in work orders.
  6. Properly dispose of unwanted materials and recycle items like paper, scrap wood, and cardboard.
  7. Utilize and care for the assigned County vehicle, if applicable.

These responsibilities are representative of the tasks required and are not exhaustive. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Additional Responsibilities:

Manage requisitions, receive and organize inventory, and apply pesticides as needed.
