Job Description

This is a Senior level position and is responsible for providing planning assistance and direction for incoming group customers, as well as providing that information to partnering departments to ensure successful follow-through with clients' wishes and plans. This role will also provide support, when needed, to the Director and Assistant Director within the Convention Services department. This position is eligible for the Omni Sales Incentive Plan and does include a limited, work-from-home component that begins after initial on-boarding period has passed.

Location: Atlanta, GA (on property) This position is eligible for the Omni Hotels & Resorts WFH Incentive after 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

* Manage all logistical aspects of largescale conferences and conventions of 300 rooms and above
* Coordinate a detailed schedule of programs to include the following: meeting set-up, group catering, room reservations, food & beverage and special functions.
* Coordinate on-site planning meetings and site visits at the request of the Customer
* Recommend full usage of facility services to client. CSMs must be up-to-date on current pricing and operational procedures.
* Prepare detailed Banquet Event Orders for use by client and operational staff.
* Prepare details Group Resumes to communicate all group logistics to hotel operations staff
* Prepares detailed meeting room and function room diagrams for operational areas.
* Responsible for distributing agendas to both Convention Services and Catering teams.
* Manages individual group room blocks and forecasts
* Attend weekly Group Resume meeting to discuss upcoming programs with Department Heads.
* Monitor client's program while on property to ensure a well-run meeting.
* Provide Direction to Event Concierge to track daily progress and relate any changes to the group's agenda to appropriate departments.
* Serve as immediate supervisor to assigned Convention Services Coordinators to ensure administrative tasks are completed
* Ask for repeat business and referrals for follow-up by the sales team.
* Attend weekly Group Pickup Meetings with Director of Revenue Management and Director of Sales
* Attend department meetings and other company required trainings.
* Complete other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

* Minimum 3 years Convention Services management experience, in full service hotel or resort (luxury or convention property preferred)
* College degree preferred, work experience can substitute for education.
* Must have working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint. Salesforce FDC experience is also a plus.
* Must be organized and detail oriented with ability to multitask.
