Job Details
Our Surgical Technologists will:
* Work under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in delivering safe and effective care to patients in the intraoperative period.
* Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
* Have knowledge of the procedures performed and anticipate the surgeon's needs, including providing instruments, sutures and supplies.
* Check that instrumentation and equipment are in working order.
* Maintain aseptic technique throughout set up and surgical intervention.
* Maintain and advocate for patient safety.
* Perform other tasks as assigned (checking outdates, stocking, rooms, picking cases, etc.).
* Perform counts according to hospital policy and initiate appropriate procedure for incorrect counts.
* Correctly handle and identify surgical specimens.
* Safely dispose of biohazardous material.
* Actively participate in room turnover between cases.
What you'll bring:
* Passion for Perioperative Services
* 1-2+ Years of Operating Room (OR) experience preferred
* Education: High School Diploma or GED required
* Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through the Association of Surgical Technologists required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Salary Range
USD $37.00 - USD $44.27 /Hr.
This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
