We take pride in being a teaching hospital and fostering the next generation of veterinary professionals. Externs and mentees are always welcome, and we seize every opportunity to facilitate learning and collaboration within our team.
What sets us apart is our unique multi-departmental structure. We house six specialty departments under one roof: Neurology, Oncology, Radiology, Surgery, Internal Medicine, and ER/ICU (Ophthalmology coming December 2023). This structure facilitates exceptional cross-collaboration and learning, allowing for daily morning huddles with experts from different fields to make informed, comprehensive medical decisions for our patients. Instead of having to call a specialist for advice, you can simply walk down the hallway.
When it comes to wellness, we don't just talk the talk; we walk the walk. To promote well-being, we have instituted an active Wellness Program. Recognizing the unique mental health challenges of the veterinary profession, we also have a full-time, on-site veterinary social worker to support the needs of our team and clients.
Additionally, we understand the importance of celebration, recognition, and diversity, and these are key aspects of our culture.
