The Technical Cost Reduction Manager, Cost Lead, in alignment with business strategy, develops and executes opportunities to enhance product profitability and ensure financial goals are met. The Cost Reduction Manager guides program performance including project execution, financial goals, risk management, schedules, and additional contractual commitments.

The Cost Reduction Manager advises senior management and customers of the status of business objectives through briefing packages, financial and program reviews. They collaborate with leaders from the Value Stream, Operations, Supply Chain and Engineering to foster a culture of Cost reduction idea generation and change.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with leaders from the Engineering, Value Stream, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance to define program financial objectives and product cost targets.
* Work closely with the Engineering Functional Leads to develop strategies, business cases and program plans including schedule and funding requirements.
* Lead teams through project execution to realize opportunities, resolve roadblocks, identify risks and establish mitigation plans.
* Manage Cost reduction projects and schedule execution through Earned Value Reviews
* Organize and support program reviews, team meetings and various other regular business reviews.
* Develop and communicate cost status reports for products and programs, ensure accuracy in annual cost standards.
* Target maximum product profitability and ensure financial goals are met.
* Inspire and support idea generation and questioning the status quo.
* Travel 10%

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

* Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
* U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience navigating competing priorities, delivering the highest level of engagement, and delivering successful outcomes in critical situations.
* Earned Value Management experience.
* Experience developing strategies and business cases

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
