An Equipment Operator will operate various heavy machinery for construction projects.
Responsibilities:
* Operates construction, excavation, hauling, and maintenance equipment, including backhoes, front-end loaders, bulldozers, excavators, or grade tractors.
* Prepares construction sites for building, demolition, or excavation.
* Uses excavating machinery to dig holes and trenches.
* Transports tools and other construction equipment to and from construction sites.
* Uses equipment to prepare job site.
* Operates machinery used to build roads and bridges.
* Perform daily inspection of equipment.
* Performs routine maintenance and repairs.
* Work harmoniously, cooperatively, and courteously with others at all times.
* Follow directions and instructions from supervisors.
* Perform various tasks and duties that may often change as the work conditions require.
* Work within defined standards of accuracy.
* Work in various weather conditions, including temperatures over 85 and below 40 degrees.
* Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Skills or Abilities:
* Valid Driver's License
* Clean MVR
* Good communication skills
* Ability to work overtime, as requested.
Education and Experience:
* On-the-job training offered.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects.
* Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
* Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
* Ability to perform frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
* Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted.
* Must be able to see and hear well (naturally or with correction.)
