What We Are Looking For

FLEET MAINTENANCE CLERK

POSITION SUMMARY

Support fleet operations at the shop and main office locations by focusing on customer service, data collection and retrieval, and administrative support to shop and departmental efforts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES

* Assures the availability of parts in a cost-effective manner.
* Maintains fleet records on inventory levels, preventive maintenance schedules, and corrective maintenance performed on all units.
* Inputs fleet information into the computerized fleet management system daily.
* May act as a point of contact with vendors to order, receive and ensure payment for goods and services.
* Prepares truck purchases orders for management approval, including assignment of general ledger codes.
* Receives parts stocks, input in Dossier, dispenses parts to mechanics according to Corporate and Regional policy and local operating procedures.
* Reviews purchase orders with accounting to ensure accuracy and proper payment of invoices.
* Produces various productivity and usage reports for management review.
* Follows all safety policies and procedures; participates with the team to achieve safety goals.
* Reconciles Dossier financial data to Purchase Order Log. Also, to Sage general ledger.

Supports the Fleet Manager with analysis of fleet operations reports. This includes analyzing data, identifying trends and outliers, and correcting mistakes where appropriate. Resolves data errors and escalates other errors to management for comparison against identified critical objectives and standards.
* Assist with the parts organization and inventory.
* Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Related experience in maintenance / trucking industry
* Intermediate skills in Office 365 including Excel and Outlook
* Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment where responsibilities frequently change
* Must possess excellent organization skills
* Must demonstrate excellent attention to detail
* Must possess excellent written and verbal skills
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to function as a team and get along with others

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

* Prolonged periods of standing and walking
* Ability to climb, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces
* Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 75-100 pounds
* Exposure to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc.) often
* Exposure to physical environment which involves moving mechanical parts, fumes fumes, dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements often

EDUCATION

* High School Diploma or G.E.D.

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

* 1 year of general office experience or equivalent training.
* Knowledge of auto parts, inventory control
* Clean driving record, valid Texas Driver's License to run for parts if necessary.
