Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our fleet maintenance team at UPS. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining a diverse range of equipment, including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty on-road tractors, and trailers from various manufacturers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including diesel, gasoline, and alternative fuel systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues using diagnostic equipment and scan tools.
- Collaborate with other technicians to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
- Meet Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) requirements and maintain accurate records.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with variable temperatures and humidity, exposure to cleaning materials, petroleum products, dust, dirt, and noise.
Requirements:
- Current documented automotive mechanical experience.
- Class A/B or A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - REQUIRED.
- Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shifts, including Monday through Friday, Sunday through Thursday as well as Tuesday through Saturday schedules, depending on the location's need.
- Dependable with ability to report to work on a regular and timely basis and complete scheduled workday on a consistent basis.
- Available to work varying shifts, additional hours and/or overtime depending on service needs.
