Fleet Maintenance Supervisor

The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor is a key member of our maintenance team, responsible for overseeing the maintenance shop and ensuring that all repairs and maintenance work is performed in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise a team of technicians responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of a fleet of heavy equipment and vehicles.
- Plan and schedule repair work to ensure that all work is done in a safe and timely manner, reducing lost productivity.
- Monitor operational performance and efficiency, taking action to redirect activities as needed.
- Report to management on performance and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Supervise technicians in the maintenance shop, including conducting daily shop huddles, fleet walks, and coaching/counseling/training as needed.
- Perform inspections of outside repairs to ensure compliance with Company safety and compliance procedures and federal and state regulations.
- Identify training opportunities and document issues, discussing corrective action with technicians as needed.
- Conduct Quality Control Inspections and track issues to ensure all work is properly completed.
- Oversee repair diagnostics on complex matters and provide coaching as needed.
- Manage related administrative matters, including payroll, employee records, and maintenance of equipment records.
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
- 3 years of experience in maintenance working with heavy equipment.
- 1 year of supervisory experience in a lead technician role or other management role requiring a thorough knowledge of safe working practices, DOT, OSHA, and other federal and state regulations.
