About the Role

The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor is a critical position within our organization, responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our fleet of heavy equipment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of technicians responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy equipment.
  • Plan and schedule repair work to ensure that all tasks are completed in a safe and timely manner.
  • Monitor operational performance and efficiency, and take action to redirect activities as needed.
  • Report to management on performance, and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Conduct inspections of outside repairs to ensure that all work was properly completed in accordance with company safety and compliance procedures.
  • Identify training opportunities for technicians, and document issues and corrective actions as needed.
  • Oversee maintenance shop inventory control system to ensure that necessary equipment and parts levels are maintained and purchases are within budget.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of engine, emission systems, transmission, brake, hydraulic, and electrical systems to perform advanced preventive and repair maintenance functions on heavy equipment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification
  • 3 years of experience in maintenance working with heavy equipment
  • 1 year of supervisory experience in a lead technician role, supervisor, or other management role requiring a thorough knowledge of safe working practices, DOT, OSHA, and other federal and state regulations
