Role Description / Areas of responsibility:

This temporary position will work in Corporate Events supporting client driven events.

* Registration coordinator - manage all aspects of the event registration process: create registration page, client management, name badge creation, reconcile attendee list post event
* Client event ticket coordinator and vendor liaison
* Expense management, which includes corporate event expense reports
* Manage the ICER approval and tracking process
* Manage the Nomura event closet; order items, keep inventory and organize promotional items
* Maintain event database, history reports and monthly divisional reporting
* Experience with compliance rules and regulations as related to client events and gift & entertainment rules
* Analytical and budget knowledge; ability to adhere to strict budget guidelines

Skills required:

* 2+ years of conference planning experience required, preferably with financial conference experience
* Clear and precise communications with the ability to effectively engage, direct, and communicate with senior management
* Ability to manage multiple projects requiring much attention to detail in a fast-paced environment and within tight deadlines
* Highly organized; ability to handle multiple tasks and apply judgment to prioritize
* Analytical and budget knowledge; ability to adhere to strict budget guidelines
* Experience with compliance rules and regulations as related to client events and gift & entertainment rules
* Detail-oriented team player; willing to collaborate with Corporate Communications team on certain projects, including sending out the daily news clips, drafting internal articles for the intranet and maintaining our executive biography database
* Ability to navigate a large complex organization
* Expense management, which includes corporate event and team expense reports
* Manage the Nomura brand closet; order items, keep inventory and organize promotional items
* Maintain event database, history reports and monthly divisional reporting
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; both oral and written
* Attention to detail, including good proof-reading skills
* Strong Computer Skills, (MS Office)
* Bachelor's degree required, preferably with an emphasis in hospitality
* Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job-related knowledge and advanced degrees, skills, and experience.
