Description

As Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely month-end reporting and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.

Full-Time

M-F

This position is located at our corporate office in Blaine, WA (appx 100 miles north of Seattle). This is NOT a remote position.

What your day looks like:

* Journal entries and general month-end accounting duties including accruals for multiple related companies
* Detailed bank and general ledger account reconciliations
* Conduct variance analysis and provide cost reports to management to improve business operations
* Examine costs incurred in relation to activities conducted to determine effective use of resources
* Assist VP of Finance with Audit requests including preparing audit schedules
* Maintain debt and depreciation schedules
* Prepare and distribute recurring reports
* Prepare state and federal tax compliance reports (sales tax, fuel tax, L&I, etc.)
* Review payroll (processed by third parties) for accuracy and post to the general ledger
* Other responsibilities and special projects as assigned

Requirements

More about you:

* High School Diploma or a General Education Degree required
* College level accounting studies from a four-year accredited college/university
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred
* Minimum 2 years general ledger experience. Skilled in general accounting, analysis, account reconciliation and month-end closing & financial reporting
* Minimum of 5 years related accounting experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Proficient with accounting software; experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and Management Reporter would be a plus
