Service Writer Role Overview
At eCruit, we're seeking a skilled Service Writer to provide exceptional customer service and support in a fast-paced industrial environment. As the first point of contact for our customers, you'll play a critical role in ensuring their needs are met throughout the repair process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist and advise customers on service requirements for their industrial systems and components
* Manage customer service inquiries via phone and in-person
* Accurately estimate service costs and prepare quotes
* Maintain clear communication with customers, keeping them informed of progress and any potential delays
* Process payments and ensure accurate invoicing
* Work collaboratively with the Shop Foreman and Parts Manager to prioritize jobs and develop quotes
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a customer service role, ideally within an industrial setting
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficient in Windows applications (Excel and Outlook) and a strong understanding of basic accounting principles
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Physically able to lift up to 50lbs
* High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or an apprenticeship is a plus
