Basic Function: The Senior Fan Development Manager will be responsible for shaping and executing fan engagement initiatives, programs, and events, with a key focus on the multicultural market. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of sports marketing, fan groups, and has proven multicultural marketing experience both in the US as well as internationally in Mexico. This person will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to strengthen our fan community, increase fan loyalty, and drive revenue through cross functional marketing related tactics.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive fan engagement strategy, focusing on the Hispanic segment and Mexico, that strengthens the relationship with our fans while aligning with the team's brand and objectives.
  • Research and evaluate other fan engagement strategies (both sports and non-sports) to determine best practices.
  • Partner with cross functional teams to execute fan engagement strategies and leverage organizational initiatives to extend to fan engagement activities.
  • Partner with NFL, regional fan clubs, and local and regional organizations to extend Texans fan programs into larger market and cultural initiatives.
  • Evaluate trends in the market and adjust fan engagement strategy/tactics accordingly to optimize fan experience and value to the team.
  • Help organization meet revenue goals by developing programs that are sponsorable assets.
  • Management of current and future fan clubs including Somos Texans, San Antonio Texans, RGV Texans, Austin Texans.
  • Partner with social/digital team to define and execute fan communication strategy.
  • Adhere to fan engagement budget.
  • Perform various other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the Senior Director of Marketing.

Position requires routine face-to-face personal interaction with other Club personnel; therefore, job responsibilities must be physically performed in the Club offices and not in a telecommuting manner.

Skills Required:
  • Strong understanding of Hispanic culture as well as Hispanic community in Houston, Mexico and throughout Texas.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Creative and innovative mindset with a passion for fan engagement.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple diverse tasks with multiple deadlines in a high-energy environment.
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure and within deadlines.
  • Display strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create and maintain solid working relationships at all levels across the organization and externally.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and/or proprietary information.
  • Ability and internal desire to demonstrate a winning attitude and a strong work ethic in the performance of all job responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college or university preferred.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in fan development, marketing, or related field.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish (both written and spoken) is required.
