Job Description:

We are in search of an experienced Solar Development Manager to oversee the development of utility-scale solar projects from start to finish.

The ideal candidate will have a successful background in land acquisition, financial planning, permitting, and project management in the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:



Land Acquisition:
o Identify, assess, and secure appropriate land for solar project development.
o Negotiate land leases, easements, and real estate contracts.
o Conduct necessary due diligence checks to ensure site feasibility and compliance with regulations.


Budgeting and Financial Modeling:
o Create project budgets and financial models to evaluate solar project feasibility.
o Perform comprehensive financial analysis including NPV, IRR, and ROI calculations.

o Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate forecasting and management of project budgets.



Permitting and Regulatory Compliance:
o Lead the permitting process for solar projects, including environmental evaluations and zoning approvals.
o Collaborate with regulatory bodies, landowners, and stakeholders to navigate permitting requirements.
o Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations throughout the project development.



Project Management:
o Supervise all project development aspects such as scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
o Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to reach project milestones.
o Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing challenges promptly.



Stakeholder Engagement:

o Build positive relationships with landowners, community members, and government officials to garner support for solar projects.

o Represent the company in public forums to address concerns and highlight project benefits.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field (Master's degree preferred).

Minimum of 7 years of experience in solar project development with expertise in land acquisition, permitting, and financial analysis.

Strong knowledge of renewable energy markets, regulatory frameworks, and industry standards.
Proven track record in managing complex projects within budget and timeline constraints.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in financial modeling tools such as Excel.

Experience collaborating with diverse teams and external stakeholders.
