This person would be able to utilize the processes already used with UL but then help speed up the open projects and complete them as fast as possible.

* Serve as the main interface to UL for Products & Systems.
* Responsible for maintaining certification for existing products as well as responsible for certifying all new products.
* Work with R&D Product Team to achieve UL & CE compliance for the various products.
* Work with the R&D System Designer to achieve UL & CE compliance for various systems.
* Work with UL to perform the DAP audits.
* Demonstrates an intense focus on customer satisfaction.
* Assist team members in achieving project level budgets on assigned projects.
* Foster open communication among all technical and business functions, including sales, operations, and quality organizations.
* Participate in an environment of continuous learning and driving standardization and high quality in design with a focus on manufacturability.
* Ensure compliance with all safety and work rules and regulations. Ensure the maintenance of departmental housekeeping standards.

* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on Certification of drives/systems
* Strong Background in UL/CE/CSA codes, regulations, and the testing needed for those certifications.
* 10+ years of related experience, with preference for panel shop and control systems.
* Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and listening) and the ability to collaborate effectively both internally and externally with a diverse group of professionals.
* Organized with the ability to multi-task.
* Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines.
* Strong process orientation/discipline and demonstrated application of problem-solving tools (e.g. Paretto, 5-Why Analysis, 8-D's, etc.)
* Requires strong commitment to customer service and teamwork.

Desired Skills and Experience:

* 15+ years experience
* Experience with Variable Frequency Drive Compliance UL & CE Compliance
* Experience with UL508C & UL61800-5-1
* Experience with UL508A
* Experience with EN61800-5-1 (Self-Certification)
* Experience with IEC61800-5-1 (CB Scheme)
* Experience with low-voltage (LV) Drives and Controls.
* Strong familiarity with power electronics equipment including switchgear, soft starters and VFDs.
* Experience operating in a power-electronics manufacturing environment.
* Strong technical skills related to electrical engineering and power electronics.
* Demonstrated track record of creating/applying standard processes and problem-solving techniques/tools.
