We are hiring a Hospital Service Coordinator/Rounding Nurse in our Plaza Cardiovascular Clinic. This position will focus on coordinating care for hospitalized patients for the SLCC hospital services. This includes the appropriate triage and assignment of incoming patients to care teams including the teaching service. This position serves as the liaison between SLCC providers and the hospital staff and will assist the providers in discharge preparation including communication with the multidisciplinary team to address key issues at discharge, including patient family preparedness and follow up care post hospitalization. The orientation of incoming residents and fellows to the cardiology service in another key responsibility of this position.
Position works 4 ten hour days per week 7 am to 5:30 with one day off per week. Position does require occasional weekend and holiday shift coverage.
KS & MO RN License required; if the ideal candidate does not possess dual licensure at time of offer, he/she may be given an offer contingent upon completion of dual licensure within 90 days of start. BLS required.
