We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiology team at North Kansas City Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care under the direction of a physician, nurse practitioner, or other advanced practice provider.
Responsibilities- Provide patient care according to established protocols and standing orders.
- Accurately and timely administer medication and treatment as prescribed by a physician.
- Schedule patient procedures efficiently and effectively.
- Communicate test preparation instructions, hospital registration requirements, and physician instructions to patients in a timely manner.
- Educate and explain procedures and treatment plans to patients and caregivers.
- Assist providers to maximize patient volume and return patient calls in a timely manner.
- Document patient care accurately and timely.
- Perform EMR tasks correctly and timely.
- Work and communicate effectively with all providers and promote teamwork.
- Provide great customer service in person and on the telephone.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Missouri Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a physician's office setting, preferred.
- Basic Life Support certification through American Heart Association.
- Basic office skills, patient-centered mindset, excellent time management and organization skills; ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
