Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability System Safety and Supportability.


What You Will Do:
Raytheon currently has an exciting Sr. Reliability Engineer opportunity available in support of the Raytheon mission of making the word a safer place.

As a Sr. Reliability Engineer, you'll be responsible for the following:

  • Leading performance of reliability predictions
  • Supporting design reviews
  • Leading failure analysis and root cause and corrective action studies to assure Customer Satisfaction
  • Working across multiple engineering teams to help implement design changes for products being produced
  • Working closely with team members to conduct test data analysis and trending
  • Providing technical direction to the factory for field return assets
  • Providing technical direction on missile assembly and disassembly when onsite technical personnel cannot resolve problems
  • Working with team members to provide data driven recommendations and solutions to the customer covering a wide range of technical subjects including:
    • Electrical
    • Electromechanical
    • Mechanical
    • Hydraulic
    • Energy
    • Test systems
    • Associated documentation and training

This job is posted as ONSITE, and is located at Raytheon's Andover, MA facility.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior reliability or quality engineering experience. An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position
  • Experience with reliability analysis or failure analysis
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience performing reliability predictions for electronic hardware
  • Ability to manage multiple technical projects and customer requests in a fast-paced operations environment
  • Experience in gathering, analyzing and / or presenting data utilizing Database SQL
  • Experience using scripts to organize data for trending analysis
  • Experience developing and providing technical presentations to audiences including the U.S. and international customers
  • Experience with National instruments LabView or LabWindows software packages, PXI, myDAQ, or Compact RIO hardware.
  • Experience with system assembly, disassembly and test

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
