Job Summary and Qualifications

Role Summary: Responsible for the coordination of clinical, management, and business activities by providing leadership for the delivery of patient care within the scope of practice defined by the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board practice act. Supervises and facilitates the management of clinical practice and patient care delivery. Exercises management responsibilities through problem-solving and collaboration both independently and as delegated by the Respiratory Director or Respiratory Manager. 

What qualifications you will need:

  • Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields: Respiratory, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration OR enrollment in an acceptable Bachelor’s degree program within 6 months AND obtainment of a Bachelor’s degree within 3 years of hire into Supervisor position. Graduate of a Respiratory Program approved by CoARC Registered Respiratory Therapist. NBRC National Certification in a specialty area within one year of accepting role.
  • Preferred Education:  Master’s Degree in Respiratory, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration.
  • Required License: North Carolina Board of Respiratory Care RCP License, BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
  • Required Experience: 3 years of recent and relevant clinical hospital experience in critical care or related area with demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Preferred Experience: Previous supervisory experience
