Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

Location: Henderson, NC

Salary: $55,000 - $73,000 (depending on experience)

Job Overview:

Premier Global Links is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing respiratory care services to patients with breathing disorders and other cardiopulmonary conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments and diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medication, and mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitor patient responses to therapy, adjusting treatments as necessary, and reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
  • Provide emergency respiratory care, including airway management and resuscitation.
  • Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques, equipment usage, and disease management.
  • Perform routine and emergency respiratory therapy procedures in a variety of clinical settings, including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric units.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, documenting therapy, patient progress, and any complications.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of respiratory therapy equipment.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Licensure/Certification: Active and valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification.
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon hire. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required within six (6) months from the hire date.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional Certification: Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification is preferred.
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Respiratory Therapy.
  • Experience: Previous hospital-based clinical work experience.

  • Strong technical skills in respiratory therapy procedures and equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively in emergency situations and make quick decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and support patients and their families.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
