Business Development Director
USA based (Fully Remote)
$200,000 + Package including Performance Based Bonus
We are partnered with an electric power industry engineering, consulting, & research services organisation to support with the hire of a Business Development Director. The BD Director's mission will be to develop the United States Consultancy business for the Company with a focus on Investor-Owned Utility Clients.
The ideal candidate has previously built strong relationships with some of the major partners within the USA utilities industry (especially IOUs & RTO/ISO) & has experience with Technology Consulting. If this sounds like you, keep reading…
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Business Development activities across the United States selling the full portfolio of consulting services.
Build & develop relationships with Investor-owned Utilities (IOUs) to develop new business opportunities.
Utilize your experience delivering operational technology for utilities to work with internal stakeholders to sell solutions utilizing the existing portfolio of services.
Set the standard internally for thinking commercially.
Coordinate and collaborate with departments & personnel both domestically and across the wider business to maximize business opportunities and gain internal resources where needed.
The ideal candidate will:
Be an experienced Business Developer with a passion for hunting and bringing on new business.
Demonstrate strong experience with electrical utility Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS) and/or electric utility Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS).
Have built strong relationships with some of the major partners within the USA utilities industry (especially IOUs & RTO/ISO).
Be experienced in selling consultancy services in the electric utilities industry.
Operate at the executive level, demonstrating the characteristics of a culture leader and standard setter.
Have experience leading a ‘to market’ business development strategy.
Be results-focused and passionate about winning new business and demonstrating market-leading customer service.
