Event Sales

The Event Sales & Marketing Manager leads all aspects in relation to the sales and marketing of events for the MashUp (opening Q2, 2025) and The Henry Clay properties. This includes the development and implementation, staff development and hotel, caterer, vendor and corporate event planner relations and coordination. Works directly with clients, event team and vendors to show, book, schedule and oversee all aspects of both event venues, ensuring all company and industry standards are exceeded.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
•Receives and follows up with all inquiries (e-mail, phone, in-person) for both Venues
•Shows event venues including MashUp and The Henry Clay and other possible company owned event space.
•Books events, creates contracts, enters all information into Reserve
•Secures all payments
•Sets up and breaks down events as needed, coordinates load-in / load-out and staffing as needed, coordinates cleaning schedule with vendors
•Assigns building access / elevator
•Works closely with caterers and vendors for all events
•Creates full marketing plan and designs, runs all social media accounts for MashUp and The Henry Clay Events
•Assist in creating budget
•Organizing Capital Improvements on Event and Common Space
•Set Up and Oversee all guest events/meetings
•Oversee and manage additional preferred caterers pre-and post event
•Assist in Vendor delivery and weekend building access for Vendors and Clients
•Performing other job-related duties as assigned
Skills and Experience
- Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of hotel sales and management experience required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, database management.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion while maintaining a high level of professionalism and strict confidentiality.
- High level of accuracy/attention to detail.
- High degree of emotional intelligence; ability to build and maintain trust with leaders and team members.
- Ability to take initiative to overcome issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Able to carry out complex written and oral instructions.
- Ability to travel to various Weyland Ventures and Common Bond Hotel properties.
