PRISM seeks a skilled and innovative Cloud Network Engineer focusing on IPv6 to join our growing team. As a key member, you'll play a vital role in managing and securing our cloud infrastructure while spearheading the development and implementation of a comprehensive IPv6 strategy.
Job Summary:The Cloud Network Engineer - IPv6 Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our cloud network environment, utilizing a diverse set of tools to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability. You will leverage your expertise in IPv6 to design, implement, and manage a robust IPv6 migration plan while collaborating with internal teams to integrate these solutions across our multi-cloud infrastructure seamlessly.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer cloud networking components, including VPCs, subnets, Load Balancers, and Security Groups.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IPv6 strategy for our multi-cloud environment, encompassing migration plans and adoption roadmaps.
- Implement advanced security measures for IPv6 networks, including firewall policies, intrusion detection systems, and DDoS management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and problems related to the cloud network infrastructure.
- Analyze complex network data to identify root causes of issues and develop practical solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to Cloud team members and Modal partners on implementing IPv6 networking solutions.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to ensure seamless integration of IPv6 networking solutions across the organization.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in cloud networking technologies, particularly those related to IPv6.
- Must have Professional Architect Certification within either AWS or Azure
- Must have a minimum of 10 years of related experience managing cloud environments, possessing extensive skills and knowledge in cloud service provider selection, implementation techniques, application data migration techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
- 12+ years experience in information technology with 8+ years of focused, hands-on experience deploying/configuring workloads within either AWS or Azure – preferred experience is DevOps-focused
- Experience designing and implementing cloud architectures
- Strong knowledge of enterprise computing and operating systems such as Linux and Windows and experience with troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Agile Project Management methodologies
- Experience documenting requirements, user stories, and use cases
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and team environment
