Talis Group’s client is one of the fastest-growing distilleries in Kentucky. They are undergoing a huge expansion to ramp up production to meet the increasing demand. As part of their growth, they’re looking for a dynamic, experienced Sales Manager to lead their contract distilling sales program.REMOTE position from anywhere in Kentucky.$80 – 100K base + generous commission program HIGHLIGHTED DUTIES:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Kentucky contract distilling market. 
  • Identify and approach potential clients, including brokers, distillers, etc.
  • Drive sales of custom bourbon barrels by understanding and meeting client needs.
  • Build long-term relationships with key accounts and maintain ongoing communication.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure the timely delivery of products that meet client specifications.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the brand and grow the client base.
  • Lead the sales department. 
  • Budgeting/forecasting. 
  • Develop sales plans and processes for the team utilizing a CRM system.

HIGHLIGHTED REQUIREMENTS:
  • Possess a "hunter" mentality: someone with a proven track record of aggressively pursuing and securing new business.
  • Proven sales management experience in any industry (8+ years preferred); experience in the spirits, beverage, or distillery industry is helpful but not necessary.
  • Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a talent for building lasting relationships.
  • The ability to consult on branding and marketing, particularly in the alcohol or spirits sector, is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A willingness to travel to meet clients, attend events, and build relationships.
