POSITION DETAILS:

Directs/manages overall daily operations of the 21st CCLC site within Commonpoint with the primary concern for programs and service delivery, supervision and training of staff, facilities management, community relations, and membership administration. Promoting safety of members, quality programs, and positive appearance of the school site at all times.
Internal: Maintains close, daily contact with 21st CCLC professional staff to interpret and explain organizational mission, program objectives and standards, and provide/receive information. Has regular contact with members as needed to discipline, advice, and counsel. Must be cooperative, friendly, and create a safe and harmonious environment.
External: Maintain contact as needed with external community groups, schools, members, parents and others to assist in resolving problems, as directed by the 21st CCLC Project Director.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Establish, monitor, and evaluate Site programs, activities and services that prepare youth for success that create a 21st CCLC environment that facilitates achievement of strategic outcomes.
  • Develop partnerships with parents, community leaders and organizations.
  • Develop and maintain public relations and recruitment efforts to increase the visibility of programs, services, the number of children participating in activities within the 21st CCLC and the community.
  • Communicates with external community groups, schools, members’ parents and others to assist in resolving problems and to publicize the 21st CCLC.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets and control expenditures against budget.
  • Monitor and report expenditures in adherence with the assigned overall budget.
  • Ensure administrative and operational systems are in place to maintain the operation of the physical properties and equipment of the 21st CCLC, including use of facilities by outside groups.
  • Recruit, manage and provide career development opportunities for site staff and volunteers.
  • Develop staff skills in program development and implementation, outcome management
  • Conduct meetings to inform staff of changes in programming, to gain input
  • Secures a healthy and safe environment, overseeing the maintenance of Site facilities, equipment and supplies.
  • Makes needed purchases or approves purchase requests.
  • Work with staff on special events to carry out programs in all departments and/or participate in the implementation of other site activities as necessary.
  • Exercise authority in problems relating to members; utilize guidance and discipline plan.
  • Abide by the 21st century program mission- to inspire and enable all youth to reach their full potential, as caring, productive, and responsible citizens.Secures a healthy and safe environment, overseeing the maintenance of Site facilities, equipment and supplies.
  • Assume other various duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
  • Preferred Educational background is a Bachelor’s degree in a child-related field from an accredited college/university.
  • Demonstrated ability in supervision, facilities management, and recruitment /retention.
  • Working knowledge of budget preparation, control, and management.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.
  • Demonstrated organizational, staff, and project management abilities.
  • Possess current certificates in and be able to perform CPR and medical First Aid (or be willing to be certified upon hire).

Work schedule: Monday-Friday 10am-6pm.
Salary: $55-$65K.
Start Date: September 1, 2024.
