Executive Chef

Gecko Hospitality is now searching for an experienced and motivated Executive Chef in Bentonville for a New Restaurant Opening The ideal Executive Chef should curate menus, lead financial management, prioritize guest satisfaction, oversee kitchen operations, and embody our values to create exceptional experiences for individuals and the community.
About the Company: Experience our Japanese-influenced menu featuring seasonal small plates, chef's specialties, and a wide selection of traditional sushi, sashimi, and nigiri. Guests are invited to indulge in the chef's omakase for an authentic dining journey. Our venue will include a coffee bar with a walk-up window, a distinguished sushi restaurant, and a charming outdoor bar patio and backyard area.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure maintenance of kitchen organization and hygiene in line with local health standards.
- Supervise the kitchen team, encompassing Line Cooks and Dish Team, taking responsibility for food preparation environment.
- Advocate for a unified team mindset to recruit and support individuals dedicated to guest satisfaction, financial success, and creating lasting memories.
- Establish a culture of humility, transparency, and ethical behavior to nurture a safe, caring, and motivating environment for all.
- Lead by example by fulfilling all kitchen duties when necessary, emphasizing health, safety, and cleanliness standards across the establishment.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: up to $85,000

Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years current experience as an Executive Chef in an Upscale Casual or above concept
- Culinary Degree a plus
- Japanese cooking experience required for this position
- High volume background - must have Executive Chef experience in restaurants doing over $4 million in sales per year
- Ability to maintain high levels of food quality, consistency, and hygiene
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Hands-on with hiring, training, and developing hourly employees
- Excellent work ethic and drive to succeed
- Executive Chef candidates must be proficient with financials (P&L's, inventory, food/labor cost, etc.)
