Job Title:  Ancillary Manager Location: Onsite, Greater Austin AreaReports To: Director of Ancillary ServicesHours: Full-Time, Monday-Friday Job Summary:  Family Medicine Austin is seeking a dedicated and experienced Ancillary Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the ancillary departments inside of our Family Practice Clinics. Currently, these departments include Allergy, Vitamin IV, Diabetes Relief, and our unique Advanced Physical. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective management, coordination, and operation of these departments, contributing to the overall success and quality of care provided by our clinic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of various ancillary departments, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Employee Oversight: Supervise and manage ancillary department staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, training, and development.
  • Payroll Management: Handle payroll processes for ancillary staff, ensuring accurate and timely compensation.
  • Implementation of New Ancillaries: Assist the Director in the implementation of new ancillary services, including planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory ordering, tracking, and control to ensure adequate supplies and equipment are available.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all ancillary services meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Budget Management: Assist in budget preparation and management, monitoring expenditures, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Customer Service: Maintain high levels of customer service, addressing patient concerns and improving patient satisfaction within ancillary departments.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other managers and departments to ensure cohesive and integrated service delivery.
  • Policy Development: Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures for ancillary services to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and develop strategies to enhance services.
  • Compliance: Ensure all ancillary departments comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, proficiency in healthcare management software, and a basic understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance.
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, problem-solver, team player, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
