General Manager Overview:
Responsible for managing and overseeing manufacturing operations and performance, ensuring quality, efficiency, and profitability. Plan production schedules, identify productivity goals, and monitor processes to ensure efficiency and compliance in the manufacturing process. Strong leadership qualities are essential, as well as the ability to give clear direction, think proactively, and maintain a high degree of accountability. Develop strategies to meet production goals at minimal cost, drive efficiency, and ensure products are produced with minimal downtime. Achieve financial objectives, implement best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Establish strategic direction for manufacturing and sales, aligning goals with companywide strategies to consistently exceed customer expectations.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Manage overall plant operations, production, sales, quality, and safety.
  • Manage approx. $150MIL in sales volume and grow from there.
  • Drive continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Lead sales department in setting and exceeding performance goals, conduct performance evaluations, and support employee development plans.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships to drive growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure timely delivery of materials at competitive prices, balancing cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and enforce quality control standards to deliver products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the manufacturing team, fostering a positive and motivated work environment.
  • Implement and monitor safety protocols and initiatives to minimize accidents and incidents.
  • Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to manage relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Oversee all production aspects (scheduling, budgeting, inventory, quality control).
  • Implement lean principles and continuous improvement to maximize efficiency and product quality.
  • Foster collaboration and communication between manufacturing and sales teams, translating customer needs into high-quality products and seamless sales initiatives.
  • Sales plans: Create sales plans and goals, and implement new strategies and techniques.
  • Sales team: Lead and manage the sales team, including territory managers and national managers.
  • Customer relationships: Maintain relationships with important clients and recruit new customers.
  • Sales employees: Hire, train, mentor, and manage the profitability and performance of the sales team.
  • Sales reports: Produce monthly sales reports.
  • Implementation of aligned sales strategies with local market and trends.
  • Responsible for direct sales within geographical area.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Seeking minimum of 10 years combined leadership in manufacturing and sales.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Position is 70% Sales and 30% Operations.
  • Working knowledge and deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles and sales/marketing strategies.
  • Proven ability to bridge the gap between manufacturing and sales to create a seamless customer experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a data-driven approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple employees, departments, and priorities in a fast-paced. environment (20 direct employees/200 indirect employees).
  • Proven leadership in motivating high-performing, cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP & CRM software.
  • Must be willing to travel monthly as well as 2 trade shows/year (Feb. & Oct.)
  • Must be able to be on the manufacturing floor for the duration of the shift.
  • Will be providing plant tours and conducting meetings with customers.
