Job Purpose:  Serve as CFR program manager with responsibility for managing scholarship and stewardship processes in collaboration with Advancement Operations staff.  Owns the gift allocation and administrative CFR functions and involved fundraisers when necessary. Reports to Assistant Vice President, Corporate and Foundation Relations.

About the Position: Serve as CFR program manager with responsibility for managing scholarship and stewardship processes in collaboration with Advancement Operations staff. Support team prospect managers with donor relations and lead new relationships with appropriate guidance. Play a key role in the development of the Office of Industry Relations by supporting communications, marketing, data collection and management of incoming inquiries.  We provide a collaborative and flexible hybrid working environment on a marketing communications team who supports and inspires each other.

Compensation:  The compensation range for this position is $53,000 to $58,000 annually. This target is based on available budget and the level and scope of the role. An offer will be made commensurate to the candidate’s experience, education and qualifications as they pertain to the duties of this position.

Benefits:  This role qualifies for participation in the Foundation’s benefits plans. Medical, dental and vision plans are offered and covered 80% by the Foundation. These plans may also cover dependents. The Foundation partially covers short-term disability (STD), long-term disability (LTD), accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) and supplemental life insurance. Employees can participate in a 403(b) plan with a contribution from the employer and a flexible spending account (FSA).  

Duties include, but are not limited to:
Scholarship & Stewardship:
  • Work with Prospect Managers, Advancement Operations, academic department representatives, and Financial Aid to award corporate and foundation supported scholarships. 
  • Coordinates with campus financial aid and department heads to award the scholarship funds; advertise the scholarships, handles the scholarship acceptance and review process, follows up with notifications to students and companies and foundations. 
  • Lead the process of developing stewardship materials for corporate and foundation donors in collaboration with Advancement Operations personnel; including annual reports, pledge reports, scholarship Thank Yous, and potential event follow up communications. 
  • Serve as lead CFR personnel and work in collaboration with Constituent Relations to develop and execute CFR scholarship event(s) and assist with other donor stewardship events as needed. 
  • Serve as contact point for key student groups on campus to enable proper stewardship by gathering information about their yearly activities
 
Gift Allocations and Administration:
  • Leads corporate and foundation gift processing activities including: setting up new funds, processing gift agreements, directing allocations, and tax receipts 
  • Researches and resolves issues or discrepancies daily regarding donations, fund transfers, and new gift funds. Follows up to confirm changes have been made 

Process and Procedural Improvements:
  • Plays an important role of continually looking for ways to improve our processes and procedures 
  • Serves as primary contact point with Advancement Services and Advancement Operations in developing and implementing new procedures. 
  • Manages CRM data related clean up projects and manages the utilization of the team’s student worker.  

General Team Support:
  • Provide administrative support functions, such as answering phone calls, creating and maintaining files, document management, copies and scans requested documents 
  • Submit check requests, travel authorizations, expense reports, and track expenditures in accordance with Foundation policies and budgetary restrictions; track departmental budget 
  • Support partner campus visits and assist in scheduling complex meetings with campus partners 
  • Act as liaison between the Foundation and the University regarding general inquiries, account information, reports, and operations 
  • Manage department email inbox and delegate questions to appropriate team member 
  • Update Ellucian Database with notes, strategic plans, contact reports, tasks, etc. to ensure most current and relevant information is available 
  • Available to assist other Foundation teams during "all-hands" events, e.g. Homecoming ·        Assist with projects and internal communications in Microsoft Teams, Planner and OneNote 
  • This position is part of the Foundations’ Administrative Support Team and at times may be asked to assist with answering phones, preparing for events/meetings, responding to general emails, and supporting the Chief Advancement Officer with scheduling and additional responsibilities 
  •  Handle special projects and perform other duties as assigned by Assistant Vice President, Corporate & Foundation Relations   
 
Skills/Qualifications:  
  • Minimum two (2) to four (4) years of previous experience in an office/fundraising environment 
  • High school or GED; Some college preferred 
  • Advanced skills with CRM database platforms, research tools and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, OneNote, Teams 
  • Comfortable juggling simultaneous projects with a "can-do" and positive attitude 
  • Prior experience performing repetitive tasks such as data entry and systems coding with accuracy 
  • Ability to promote effective working relationships to accomplish objectives and build team support 
  • Good customer service skills; listens and responds effectively to customer’s needs to deliver quality service 
  • Good communication skills both in writing and speaking effectively 
  • High organizational skills with strong attention to detail 
  • Ability to interpret and translate procedures and guidelines to resolve problems 
  • Project management experience:  Plans, designs, carries out projects/tasks meeting well-defined objectives and deadlines
