Concert Golf Partners is a boutique owner-operator of upscale private country clubs nationwide. We are seeking a highly motivated Director of FP&A to join our team.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of FP&A is a high-impact role that will work cross-functionally throughout the organization to improve data insights and management reporting. The Director will have primary responsibility for corporate financial planning and modeling as the Company continues its rapid growth trajectory. The position will also develop ad hoc reporting and analysis for key business partners in order to yield actionable insights and improve management decision-making.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Modeling:
  • Build and maintain a long-range financial model to forecast financial scenarios based upon the growth of existing clubs and pace of new club acquisitions.
  • Develop income statement, balance sheet and cash flow forecasts reflecting operational and capital plans.
  • Analyze budget/forecast variances and provide explanations and recommendations.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis:
  • Work closely with business partners to develop and finalize the annual Corporate plan.  
  • Partner with Operations to gather and analyze club-level budget information (income statement and capital plans). 
  • Collaborate with department heads to create and maintain departmental budgets.
Management Reporting:
  • Work with the Company's accounting team to prepare and distribute a monthly financial summary including detailed business line, capital spending and KPI reviews along with associated variance analyses.
  • Provide commentary on financial results, highlighting key performance indicators and explaining significant corporate and club-level variances.
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports to business unit leaders and the executive leadership team.
Board, Investor, & Lender Reporting:
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly BOD and investor reporting packages.
  • Lead the preparation of materials for quarterly board meetings.
  • Provide ad hoc financial reporting and KPI analyses to investors. 
Data & Analytics:
  • Play a leading role in building the Company’s data and analytical capabilities.
  • Deliver value-added and accurate analytics and reporting to business partners. This includes gathering data and reporting requirements, evaluating data solutions, and delivering single source of truth management reporting on key financial and operational metrics.
  • Provide analytical support for special projects and strategic initiatives as needed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, Accounting, or related required. MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in financial planning and analysis with a significant portion in a growing, multi-site hospitality or retail business.
  • Prior experience in golf or club-related business is required.
  • Prior experience in business operations and/or corporate strategy is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills, financial modeling capabilities, and an ability to quickly break down complex problems and reach creative solutions.
  • High degree of detail-orientation, intellectual curiosity and persistence.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to partner effectively.
  • Collaborative, passionate, self-motivated, enthusiastic, organized, and teachable.
  • In-depth understanding of the P&L, cash flow statement, and balance sheet.
  • Familiarity with GAAP to facilitate understanding of results and effectively partner with accounting.
  • Strong MS Office/Excel skills are required and experience with ERP, data warehouse and financial planning tools is a plus.
  • Strong PowerPoint and presentation development skills highly preferred.
