The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the General Manager with daily store operations and creating outstanding customer experience.

Areas of Responsibility:
  • Ensure the highest level of customer service.
  • Assisting the General Manager in creating a customer-friendly environment.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints or inquiries.
  • Manage shifts with prioritization based upon store needs and tasks as required.
  • Ensure conditions across the store exceed company standards.
  • Complies with all federal, state, and local laws and company policies and procedures.

Requirements:
  • Works various shifts including holidays and on-call (as needed).
  • Manages store operations in the absence of the General Manager.
  • Must be able to work the opposite shift of the General Manager.
  • Resolves customer service-related issues and leads by example.
  • Has a full understanding of inventory receiving and auditing.
  • Understanding of inventory system and how to interpret sales data.
  • Works with vendors and follows receiving policies.
  • Completes required daily paperwork and troubleshoots any errors.
  • Knowledgeable in creating and maintaining store schedules.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Management experience in retail, food, or fuel.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Natural leader, effective motivator, and communicator.

Additional Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be flexible with hours.
  • Must be flexible with location.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have transportation.
  • Must be able to pass a background and drug test.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
