Assistant Night Manager: Regional Warehouse

Position Summary:



The team assistant manager is a primary figure in making sure that orders reach our customers accurately and on time.  The assistant manager of a regional team plays a key role in supporting both the night operations manager and the order selectors/team members by serving as the intermediary and the âeyes on the floorâ for build activity.  Throughout the build, the assistant manager helps maintain effective operations during times when the manager is preoccupied or needs help covering duties.  The assistant manager also provides support and leadership for the order selectors/team members by being on the floor available to answer questions, restock shorted product and directing workflow.  Additionally, the assistant manager fully understands the nightly checklists of the Night Ops manager and will run shifts on managerâs days off.  The assistant manager is expected to learn and grow with our company and help create a culture of excellence for our customers.



 



 



Principal Roles & Responsibilities:



Maintain Effective Operations:



Understands job duties of the night ops manager
Helps direct workflow on warehouse floor Reports work and personnel issues to manager, helps find solutions Able to manage shift as called upon and follow night ops manager checklist Attend pre-shift meeting nightly and help provide insights into challenges



 



Support and Leadership:



Report issues to eaches team manager Communicate with order selectors/team members both face to face and with other forms of communication to check in on build and help answer questions Provide knowledge in solving problems, or understand where to go when help is needed Help find shorts/subs and restock for orders Able to jump into any team related task as needed to help have an excellent build



 



 



 



Desired Skills and Abilities:



Level of Education:



High School Diploma or equivalent certificate



 



Knowledge / Job Specific Competencies:



Excellent verbal communication skills Competent at written communication (primarily email) Excel at identifying and balancing competing priorities Forklift-certified, or willing to learn with training Produce Pro, Zendesk and Outlook after training
